Boost to The Islands Book Trust - Community Investment Fund
The Islands Book Trust was awarded a Community Investment Fund grant of £1,879 in May 2024 to enable them to purchase equipment and software to increase their in-house capacity and increase activity, particularly in publishing.
The Islands Book Trust aim to promote understanding and appreciation of the history, heritage, and culture of Scottish islands. Its main activities are organising conferences and other events, including walks and boat trips, and publishing books. It also encourages research and comparative studies of island heritage, make radio broadcasts, and support island communities economically, socially, and culturally. They have over 150 members.
