Do you live within the Galson Estate for more than nine months of the year and want to get involved with the community, support local development, and keep up-to-date with your local community land trust?

As a member you will receive:

°   The right to vote at the AGM

°   opportunities  to have your say

°   registration to our E-Newsletters

​

Membership of the trust costs £1 and is available to all those over 16 years of age who are:

 

  • resident within the Galson area, or

  • resident within the Isle of Lewis and registered with the Crofters Commission as the tenant of   a croft within the Galson Estate area, or

  • resident elsewhere and registered with the Crofters Commission as the tenant of a croft     within the Galson area and actively working that croft.

Please download and complete the registration form and email it back to us: office@uogltd.com. You can pay for your registration fee via the link above, otherwise you can return the form, along with payment, to our office.

Recruiting new members and providing ongoing benefits for existing members is a vital part of the Urras’ work.  It is very important for the trust to grow, helping to ensure a vibrant, engaged community.

Don't meet our membership criteria?  Not to worry, you could become a 'Friend of Galson'

and support our community-owned land trust that way! 

 

Do you reside outwith the Galson Estate but have a special attachment to the North Lewis area,  or do you live in the area and want to support your local community land trust as we support local development and sustainable environmental management?

​

The ‘Friends of Galson’ membership provides a vital role in supporting the work of the Urras, helping to achieve its aims and objectives. 

​​

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Coinneamh Bhliadhnail

The Annual General Meeting of Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn takes place in September / October each year. All members are welcome. Membership forms are also available on the night, should any visitors wish to join.
